RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process engineering support, analysis, optimization and further development of existing processes under technical and economic aspects in Germany and abroad, especially at our Shanghai location
  • As part of the development teams: independent planning and processing as well as supervision of all aspects of process and product developments, including patent and literature research, equipment design, test planning and evaluation as well as scale-up in laboratory, pilot plant and plant tests
  • Active support in generating proprietary IP and analyzing FTO
  • Coordination of design and implementation of debottlenecking and optimization projects as well as support for investment projects, e.g. PAAG analyzes
  • Coordination of the implementation of improvement projects in production scale, mainly at the Shanghai location, including know-how transfer with the Innovation Management Darmstadt
  • Documentation and presentation of R&D results
  • Coordination of the interface to the process simulation team and to the Global Technology Management team
  • Technical guidance of approx. 1-2 employees, including drafting and controlling of budgets, project pipeline and further development measures

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Successfully completed diploma or master’s degree (FH) in the field of process engineering, chemical technology or chemical engineering
  • Professional experience in the areas of reaction and / or separation technology, also with project management
  • Interest in working in international projects, a temporary stay abroad is possible (several times for a few weeks per year)
  • Reliability, personal responsibility and initiative as well as the ability to work in a team, flexibility and resilience
  • Proficient skills in all MS Office programs are a prerequisite; user skills for special process engineering software, e.g. Aspen (R) Manufacturing Suite, Aspen (R) Plus or CAD software, are desirable
  • Very good communication skills in written and spoken German, English and Mandarin
