RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Creates regional market segment strategies
  • Manages value proposition of products in each market segment
  • Supports regional business managers in customer activities and trade shows such as product launches, customer workshops
  • Identifies market and technology trends and strategically conduct business relevant actions
  • Placement of ideas in the innovation pipeline for the LEOD market segment in the REU region
  • Initiation and management of product developments together with portfolio management
  • Design and coordination of market inaugural processes for the region in coordination with global marketing
  • Focus on new applications outside known markets (e.g. use of PMMA/ PMMI in the field of plastic blends)
  • Development of clear ideas of customer needs through customer input, OEMs and potential prospects
  • Preparation and implementation of business plans in close cooperation with other functional areas (Innovation, Portfolio, Production and Sales)
  • Ensuring the necessary technical support at customer / potential customer sites (through our Technical Support)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Completed engineering studies in the field of plastics / chemistry or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the chemical or plastics industry
  • Experience with various plastics, compounds and compounding as well as knowledge of extrusion and injection molding processes
  • Experience in technical marketing and business development is desired
  • Meticulous and reliable work ethic as well as a high degree of initiative
  • MS-Office, SAP and CRM skills are required (SAP skills preferred).
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel (20-30%)
