Our Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for owning mechanical repair procedures and contribute in leading improvement incentives while acting as a support function to Maintenance for the safe and efficient repair, installation and troubleshooting of the process equipment and instruments, and other site assets. This person will work closely with maintenance, troubleshoot and work with the process of equipment, working to improve the plant. Should have experience in instrumentation, electrical and rotating equipment.





  • Provide day to day maintenance engineering support to the plant, including certifying mechanics and technicians as the need arises for PSM compliance
  • Develop and implement concepts and plans for equipment improvements and optimize equipment and maintenance work processes to meet customer and internal requirements
  • Develop and maintain equipment and installation/repair related documentation
  • Coordinate plant changes, both equipment and facilities, which require engineering input, that improves equipment performance, reliability, and operability
  • Work with the maintenance/reliability group to support and/or lead inspection tasks activities and projects
  • Supervise and prepare estimates for maintenance work and some capital projects
  • Coordinate, supervise, and guide technicians, contractors, and sub-contractors, including the monitoring of man-hours, invoices, and general costs for both maintenances
  • Ensure that adequate equipment maintenance systems and programs are in place and that such programs are operated in a safe and efficient manner and meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.
  • Where appropriate, ensure that prompt and effective reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents is completed
  • Accurately adheres to the documentation requirements for the Management of Change (MOC) process




  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
  • 3- 5 years of proven experience improving the plant. 
  • Three or more years of proven experience within a PSM environment
  • Previous experience within a chemical manufacturing environment and union environment preferred
  • High level of interpersonal and writing skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motived individual, adept at balancing multiple tasks or projects including managing competing priorities and successfully meeting deadlines
