Our Production Engineer will have indirect supervision for molding compound production personnel while providing technical and training support; coordinate technical projects consistent with plant management policies; and achieve all objectives and goals in safety, environmental, OEE, quality, and production.


Responsibilities at a high level will include but not limited to:

  • Meeting departmental safety goals by training personnel in safe work practices, conducting safety meetings, discussions, and on-the-job training.
  • Maintain control and direction of employees through collaboration, knowledge of policies, and formal training of employees. Document employee performance, attendance, and training.
  • Provide technical support to operators within the department as necessary, to maintain maximum efficiency of personnel and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Achieve budgeted yields, OEE, usages, and run time in the department, while minimizing transitions and line upsets by maximizing employee involvement and response to opportunities.
  • Meet scheduled demand of product mix by planning and coordinating activities of the department and maintaining department teamwork.
  • Investigate and respond to product QN’s in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate and execute investigations and reports on process upsets and product problems utilizing information acquired from all operating personnel and support groups to improve systems and procedures and preventing reoccurrence of future similar events.
  • Recommend capital projects to enhance safety, improve quality and throughput, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve methods of operation.
  • Collaborate closely with a variety of different teams and departments such as Maintenance and Engineering to coordinate the installation of engineering projects and assist in the timely resolution of maintenance problems.
  • Knowledgeable and confident with applicable safety, loss prevention, and environmental standards of the company, business line, and plant including being aware of the regulatory requirements and implementing those standards as specified.
  • Maintain production documents and controlling in the SAP system with a solid understanding of the QM, Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, Warehouse Management systems as well as their interaction between these processes.
  • Coordinate with appropriate parties to reconcile, and address plant inventory.


  • Possess a Bachelor's in Engineering or possess a degree within a related field

  • Previous 2-5 years of that experience within a manufacturing environment

  • High level of interpersonal skills and writing skills with the ability to work in a team environment

  • Adept at balancing multiple tasks or projects and competing priorities

  • Self-motivated, able to initiate and coordinate projects, and capable of meeting deadlines

  • Adept at using standard Microsoft Office programs and tools, especially Excel and SAP
