WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS 

 

The Regional Business Controller for the Region Americas Business Unit Molding Compounds is a vital part of the management team, responsible for supporting major strategic and business decisions. This position ensures financial integrity and optimal performance by conducting business performance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and coordinating with the Global Business Unit Controller on key financial topics. It plays a crucial role in analyzing and supporting strategic decisions to maximize profitability, while acting as a strategic partner to the Regional VP/GM, utilizing business acumen and planning skills to drive operational excellence and cost management. 

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

 

  • Prepare EBITDA quick shot and 12 month rolling forecast. 

  • Interacting across business functions (Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Production) to gain insight into the operational business. 

  • Develop annual budgeting, planning and forecasting in conjunction with the BU global strategy to ensure the management team has accurate information to set goals, make decisions, and monitor performance. 

  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc financial analysis/reports (P&L, Fixed Costs, NWC, Capex, etc…) evaluating the business performance in order to identify trends and spotlight  areas where action may need to be taken by management.  Make recommendations for action or improvement and implement those actions. 

  • Analyze Responsibility reports and work with Cost Center Responsible to manage costs.  Identify and communicate trends or problems. 

  • Work with external auditors to answer audit questions.  Work with the Accounting and Tax team on reporting and financial issues. 

 

 

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or MBA required. 

  • 5-7+ years of experience in cost accounting, budgets, controlling, capital analysis and financial analysis, and strategic planning. 

  • Ability to develop highest level of expertise in SAP, preferable for the S/4 Hana version.  General SAP experience of 5+ years preferred. 

  • Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.  

  • Excellent and advanced skills in Excel (Query Editor, Power Pivot, and other advanced functions), PowerPoint and ability to create financial models. 

  • The ability to travel both domestic and international up to 10%.
