WHAT YOU WILL DO
- The focus of the activity is the independent management of research projects as a project manager and the disciplinary management and guidance of the R&D chemist of the technology platforms of BU-MR, with the aim of securing and expanding the know-how about the production of polymethacrylates for Röhm;
- The function contributes to securing the economic success and growth of the company in the long term.
- Disciplinary leadership and guidance of R&D team; Responsibility for the functioning of the work team; Development of proposals for the further training and development of employees;
- Technical support of all processes of the BU-MR production plants in troubleshooting and process optimization, such as bulk, emulsion, suspension, solution polymerization and spray drying;
- Project responsibility in the context of troubleshooting and process optimization (technical management of the assigned employees, budget responsibility, ensuring documentation/I2P, accolade etc);
- Safeguarding, further development and provision of the methodological and technological competence of the technology platform of Röhm;
- ESHQ Responsibility for the assigned laboratories within the framework of the ESHQ delegation
- Ensuring the ESHQ -relevant documents as well as the technical correctness of the documentation
- Coordination of project work and its prioritization together with the head of department
- Budget responsibility for the cost center of the laboratories
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
- Successfully completed university degree in chemistry doctorate, preferably with a focus on polymer chemistry or comparable qualification (post-doc desirable)
- Professional experience in the field of product development or production of polymers desirable
- Ability to lead and lead working groups and project teams
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- High degree of independence, reliability and resilience even under deadline pressure, a sense of responsibility, flexibility and creativity
- Strong intercultural competence and communication skills as well as team-oriented and cooperative way of working
- Willingness to take occasional business trips
